An established fintech organisation in Estonia is seeking a Senior Fintech Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen the security architecture and operational protection of its cloud-based financial platforms.

This role is focused on practical security engineering across infrastructure, applications, identity, data, and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with platform engineers, software developers, architects, and security leadership to build security into the technology environment from the ground up.

Your Mission

You will help protect critical fintech workloads while enabling engineering teams to move quickly through automation, secure architecture, continuous monitoring, and strong cloud-security practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Secure Kubernetes, containerised workloads, networks, storage, and cloud services.
• Develop identity and access-management solutions following least-privilege principles.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code pipelines.
• Conduct security assessments and threat modelling for new systems.
• Develop automated security monitoring and detection capabilities.
• Investigate security events and support incident-response activities.
• Identify vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation with engineering teams.
• Establish security standards for APIs, databases, workloads, and development environments.
• Improve secrets management, encryption, logging, and access controls.
• Support security testing and continuous improvement programmes.
• Contribute to cloud-security architecture and technical standards.

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security, DevSecOps, security engineering, or infrastructure security.
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or comparable cloud platforms.
• Strong Kubernetes, Linux, networking, IAM, and infrastructure-as-code knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD security and automated security controls.
• Strong understanding of application, API, and data security.
• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or another highly regulated environment is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and incident-response capabilities.

Technical Environment

Cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Terraform or similar IaC tooling, CI/CD, IAM, container security, API security, SIEM, vulnerability management, secrets management, encryption, and automated monitoring.
