We are looking for a Senior Fintech Security Engineer to strengthen the security architecture and engineering practices behind modern digital financial services.

This role is ideal for an experienced security professional who enjoys working directly with engineering teams and wants to build security into financial platforms from the architecture stage through production.

The Role

You will design, implement, and continuously improve security controls across applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and financial data environments. You will work closely with software engineering, DevOps, architecture, compliance, and product teams to reduce risk without creating unnecessary friction for customers or developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across fintech applications and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct security reviews of APIs, microservices, authentication systems, and critical financial workflows.
• Identify vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation with engineering teams.
• Establish secure development standards and integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strengthen identity, access management, secrets management, and privileged-access controls.
• Monitor security events and support investigation and response activities.
• Perform threat modeling for new financial products and technology services.
• Support penetration testing, vulnerability management, and security assessments.
• Develop security automation to improve detection and response capabilities.
• Partner with compliance and risk teams on security requirements and control evidence.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding and application-security practices.

Candidate Profile

• 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, cloud security, or security engineering.
• Strong understanding of web applications, APIs, networking, and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with cloud security and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, encryption, secrets management, and secure authentication.
• Experience with security tooling, vulnerability assessment, and incident response.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and automated security testing.
• Strong understanding of security risks within financial technology environments.

Technical Environment

Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Python, Linux, GitHub/GitLab, SIEM platforms, SAST/DAST tooling, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect is highly valuable.
