Its operational activities focus on helping businesses and consumers complete digital transactions efficiently while maintaining accurate records, appropriate controls, and dependable service standards.
The organisation recognises the importance of payment platforms such as PayPal in the broader digital commerce ecosystem. It seeks professionals who understand electronic payment lifecycles, transaction reconciliation, dispute handling, payment exceptions, and the operational procedures required to support online financial services.

- Review transaction histories and supporting documentation to investigate discrepancies between payment platform records, internal systems, and financial reports.
- Support payment reconciliation by comparing transaction-level information with settlement reports, fee records, refund activity, and relevant accounting entries.
- Investigate payment exceptions and determine whether issues require operational correction, technical investigation, or escalation to a specialised team.
- Assist with the administration of payment disputes, chargebacks, refund requests, and transaction-related enquiries in accordance with established policies.
- Review transaction fees, processing adjustments, and settlement differences to help maintain accurate financial records.
- Coordinate with customer support teams to provide clear, evidence-based updates on payment issues and outstanding cases.
- Work with finance and accounting colleagues to investigate unreconciled balances and ensure that supporting documentation is complete.
- Liaise with technical teams when payment interruptions, API errors, system changes, or platform incidents affect transaction processing.
- Maintain detailed case records, including investigation findings, actions taken, approval references, and outstanding follow-up requirements.
- Prepare operational reports covering transaction volumes, payment exceptions, reconciliation progress, refunds, disputes, and unresolved cases.
- Identify recurring operational weaknesses and recommend practical improvements to workflows, documentation, and internal controls.
- Support the review and updating of standard operating procedures for payment handling, transaction verification, and issue escalation.
- Follow applicable data-protection requirements and internal information-security policies when accessing customer and transaction information.
- Contribute to operational testing when payment workflows, reporting systems, or internal procedures are updated.
- Help ensure that payment-related activities are completed within defined service levels and that significant issues are escalated promptly.

- Strong spreadsheet skills, including the ability to filter, compare, analyse, and reconcile transaction-level information.
- Familiarity with payment dashboards, case-management systems, financial reporting tools, or operational ticketing platforms.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and produce clear reports for operational, finance, and management stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise urgent payment issues while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good written communication skills and the ability to explain transaction problems in a professional, structured manner.
- Understanding of confidentiality, access control, fraud awareness, and responsible handling of financial information.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while coordinating effectively with distributed teams.
- Professional working proficiency in English; additional language skills are beneficial.
