Role Summary

The Senior Digital Banking Integration Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining integrations between digital banking platforms, financial institutions, payment networks and third-party service providers. The role requires a strong understanding of banking technology, API connectivity, financial data exchange and secure systems integration.

The successful candidate will work with engineering, product, compliance and operations teams to ensure that banking services communicate reliably across different platforms. The position will also contribute to improving integration standards, resolving technical issues and supporting the expansion of digital banking capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain integrations between digital banking applications, financial institutions and external financial service providers.

• Implement and manage API connections supporting account information, transaction processing, customer verification and payment services.

• Analyse integration requirements and translate business needs into practical technical solutions.

• Coordinate technical onboarding activities for new banking partners and financial service providers.

• Monitor integration performance and investigate connectivity failures, data inconsistencies and transaction-related errors.

• Work with software engineers to improve API reliability, authentication mechanisms and data exchange processes.

• Support the implementation of secure communication protocols and appropriate data protection controls.

• Maintain technical documentation covering integration architecture, API specifications and operational procedures.

• Participate in system testing, integration validation and release activities.

• Collaborate with compliance and security teams to ensure integrations meet applicable financial services requirements.

• Identify opportunities to improve integration efficiency, system resilience and operational performance.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

• Several years of experience in systems integration, digital banking technology, fintech engineering or financial software development.

• Practical knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks and secure data exchange.

• Understanding of banking systems, payment infrastructure and financial transaction workflows.

• Experience with API authentication, OAuth 2.0, encryption and access management.

• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and distributed application environments.

• Ability to investigate complex technical problems and develop structured solutions.

• Strong documentation, analytical and communication skills.

• Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
