Role Summary

The Open Banking Integration Specialist will manage the technical integration of banking services, financial data providers, and third-party applications into digital financial platforms.

The role focuses on API connectivity, account information services, payment initiation integrations, and secure financial data exchange. The successful candidate will work remotely from Estonia, collaborating with software engineers, product teams, banking partners, and compliance specialists to deliver reliable open banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrations between digital financial platforms and banking institutions.

• Implement and manage API connections supporting account information and payment services.

• Coordinate technical integration requirements with banking partners and external service providers.

• Monitor API performance, connectivity, and data exchange reliability.

• Investigate and resolve integration failures, authentication issues, and data inconsistencies.

• Support secure access to banking information through appropriate authorization mechanisms.

• Collaborate with software developers to improve financial data connectivity.

• Maintain technical documentation covering API specifications and integration procedures.

• Support testing and validation of banking integrations before production deployment.

• Monitor changes in API specifications and coordinate necessary integration updates.

• Work with compliance teams to support relevant open banking and data protection requirements.

• Identify opportunities to improve integration performance and operational efficiency.

• Participate in technical reviews and contribute to integration standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Previous experience in fintech integration, API development, banking technology, or software engineering.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and secure data exchange.

• Familiarity with open banking concepts and financial application connectivity.

• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, authorization frameworks, and API security practices.

• Experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.

• Understanding of payment initiation and account information services is an advantage.

• Familiarity with SQL and database management.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

• Ability to collaborate with international teams in a remote working environment.
