A technology-led fintech organisation in Estonia is seeking a Senior Digital Assets Platform Engineer to build and scale secure infrastructure supporting digital-asset products, transaction services, and institutional financial applications.

This is a technically demanding engineering role for a professional who understands distributed systems, blockchain infrastructure, financial transactions, and the operational requirements of production-grade financial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services supporting digital-asset products and transaction workflows.
• Build reliable integrations with blockchain networks, custody infrastructure, exchanges, and financial-service providers.
• Develop transaction-processing services with strong consistency, security, and observability.
• Design APIs and internal services supporting wallets, settlements, transfers, and asset-management functionality.
• Monitor blockchain infrastructure and investigate transaction, network, and integration issues.
• Implement automated controls for transaction validation, reconciliation, and operational monitoring.
• Collaborate with security specialists to protect keys, credentials, APIs, and sensitive financial information.
• Work with product, compliance, risk, and operations teams on new digital-asset capabilities.
• Improve system scalability, resilience, and deployment automation.
• Participate in architecture reviews and mentor other engineers.

Candidate Profile

• 6+ years of professional software-engineering experience.
• Strong backend development experience using Go, Java, Kotlin, Python, Rust, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, databases, event-driven architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
• Practical experience with blockchain or digital-asset infrastructure.
• Understanding of transaction lifecycle, wallet architecture, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
• Strong security mindset and experience operating production systems.

Technical Environment

Cloud infrastructure, microservices, blockchain nodes, APIs, event streaming, containerisation, relational databases, CI/CD, observability, automated testing, and security tooling.
