Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain the cloud platforms that support critical business applications. The successful candidate will lead platform architecture initiatives, improve infrastructure automation, and establish reliable self-service capabilities for development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable cloud platforms using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code modules using Terraform or equivalent tools.
• Build and manage Kubernetes-based platforms and container infrastructure.
• Establish platform standards for security, networking, observability, and resource management.
• Develop self-service tools that enable application teams to provision infrastructure independently.
• Improve platform reliability through monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimisation.
• Implement cloud governance policies, identity controls, and infrastructure compliance measures.
• Lead technical investigations into complex platform incidents and implement preventive improvements.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and software engineering teams to improve developer productivity.
• Document platform architecture, operational standards, and disaster recovery procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least five years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider.
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Linux systems.
• Experience with cloud networking, IAM, load balancing, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with GitOps, CI/CD automation, and observability platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash scripting.
• Strong architectural judgement, troubleshooting, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Professional English proficiency; Estonian language skills are an advantage.
