We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and develop robust backend systems supporting modern financial products, APIs, transaction processing, and data-intensive applications.

This role is suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex distributed-systems problems and building software where reliability, security, and performance are critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build reliable transaction-processing and business-logic services.
• Develop RESTful and event-driven APIs for internal and external consumers.
• Design efficient database structures and data-access layers.
• Improve application performance, scalability, observability, and fault tolerance.
• Implement automated testing and continuous integration practices.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, infrastructure, security, and data teams.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical design decisions.
• Investigate production issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and code quality.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, C#, or similar languages.
• Excellent understanding of REST APIs, microservices, databases, and distributed systems.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of application security and software-development best practices.
• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or other high-volume platforms is advantageous.
