We are seeking an innovative Scientist to contribute to research and development activities within Estonia’s growing biotechnology and life-sciences ecosystem. The position is suitable for a research professional interested in developing new technologies, improving laboratory processes, analyzing biological data, and translating scientific discoveries into practical applications.

The successful candidate will participate in research programmes involving laboratory experimentation, data analysis, scientific documentation, technology development, and collaborative research. Depending on the project, work may involve molecular biology, microbiology, genomics, bioinformatics, diagnostics, pharmaceutical research, or other areas of life sciences.

The Scientist will work alongside researchers, laboratory specialists, engineers, data professionals, and external research partners. Strong scientific reasoning, experimental discipline, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct scientific experiments and research studies.
• Analyze experimental results using appropriate scientific and statistical methods.
• Develop and improve laboratory procedures and research methodologies.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and research documentation.
• Contribute to scientific reports, presentations, and technical publications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary research and development teams.
• Evaluate emerging biotechnology and life-science technologies.
• Support the development and validation of new laboratory methods.
• Participate in research planning, project reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Ensure laboratory activities follow applicable quality, safety, and ethical requirements.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s or PhD degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Practical laboratory or research experience.
• Strong analytical and scientific problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with relevant laboratory equipment, research methodologies, or computational tools.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to multidisciplinary projects.
