We are seeking an accomplished Principal Fintech Security Architect to define and strengthen the security architecture of modern financial technology platforms. This is a senior technical leadership position for a security professional who understands the complexity of protecting payment systems, digital banking platforms, financial APIs, customer data, and cloud infrastructure.

You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, product, compliance, and risk teams to embed security throughout the design and lifecycle of fintech products.

Key Responsibilities

• Define enterprise security architecture for fintech platforms, applications, APIs, and cloud environments.
• Design security controls for payment processing, digital banking, authentication, and sensitive financial data.
• Lead threat modelling, security architecture reviews, and technical risk assessments.
• Establish identity, access management, encryption, secrets management, and privileged-access standards.
• Develop security strategies for cloud-native and distributed financial systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into software development and deployment processes.
• Assess third-party integrations and identify technology and security risks.
• Support incident-response planning, vulnerability management, and security resilience initiatives.
• Translate regulatory and security requirements into practical technical controls.
• Provide technical leadership on major security transformation projects.

Candidate Profile

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, cloud security, or financial technology.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, microservices, identity platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience securing banking, payments, fintech, or other highly regulated technology environments.
• Knowledge of modern authentication, encryption, network security, application security, and DevSecOps.
• Strong understanding of security risk management and architectural governance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders.
