We are seeking a Principal Core Banking Engineer to architect and develop the backend systems that power accounts, balances, transactions, financial products, and digital banking services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design highly scalable core banking services supporting accounts, balances, transfers, transaction histories, and financial product configurations.
• Develop distributed backend components capable of processing large transaction volumes while maintaining strict consistency and data integrity.
• Engineer account and balance-management services using robust transactional and concurrency-control mechanisms.
• Build APIs connecting core banking services with payment processors, banking partners, identity platforms, and customer applications.
• Design event-driven architectures for transaction events, account changes, settlements, and downstream financial processes.
• Lead database architecture, performance optimization, disaster recovery, and high-availability initiatives.
• Establish comprehensive testing strategies for financial calculations, transaction integrity, and failure scenarios.
• Conduct architecture reviews and mentor senior backend engineers.
• Drive modernization of legacy banking infrastructure into cloud-native financial platforms.

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience in banking, fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent backend technologies.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, transactional databases, APIs, messaging, and cloud architecture.
• Experience developing mission-critical financial systems.
• Strong knowledge of data integrity, concurrency, security, and high-availability engineering.
