Role Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable Payment Scheme Operations Specialist to support the operational management of payment networks, payment scheme requirements, and transaction processing activities.

The successful candidate will coordinate payment scheme operations, monitor transaction performance, maintain operational documentation, and support relationships with payment service providers and financial institutions.

This position requires an understanding of card payment infrastructure, electronic transactions, settlement procedures, and the operational standards governing modern payment systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate operational activities relating to card payment schemes and electronic payment networks.

• Monitor transaction processing performance across supported payment channels.

• Support compliance with applicable payment scheme operating rules.

• Review settlement reports, transaction records, and payment processing information.

• Investigate payment processing exceptions and coordinate their resolution.

• Maintain operational documentation relating to payment scheme requirements.

• Coordinate with acquiring banks, payment processors, and external service providers.

• Support the implementation of payment network updates and operational changes.

• Monitor chargeback processes and payment dispute workflows.

• Prepare periodic operational performance reports.

• Collaborate with technology teams to improve payment processing capabilities.

• Identify opportunities to strengthen payment operations and reduce processing inefficiencies.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or Information Technology.

• Relevant experience in payment operations, card schemes, or financial services.

• Understanding of card payment processing and settlement mechanisms.

• Knowledge of payment scheme rules and transaction lifecycle management.

• Familiarity with acquiring, issuing, and payment processing environments.

• Understanding of chargebacks and payment dispute procedures.

• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial operations tools.

• Ability to coordinate multiple operational activities in a remote environment.
