A technology-focused financial-services organisation in Estonia is seeking an experienced FX Risk Technology Manager to lead the development of technology-enabled frameworks for market risk, trading controls, exposure monitoring, and real-time risk analytics.

This role combines FX risk management with financial technology, making it particularly suited to a professional who understands both market-risk principles and modern technology architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technology initiatives supporting FX market-risk management.
• Develop systems for real-time monitoring of currency exposures, limits, and risk indicators.
• Work with risk specialists to translate risk methodologies into automated controls.
• Design dashboards covering positions, exposures, volatility, liquidity, and limit utilisation.
• Integrate market-data feeds into risk-monitoring and analytical platforms.
• Establish automated alerts for predefined risk thresholds and abnormal market conditions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on scalable risk infrastructure.
• Support stress testing, scenario analysis, and exposure modelling.
• Improve data quality, lineage, reconciliation, and reporting across risk systems.
• Coordinate with trading, treasury, compliance, finance, and technology stakeholders.
• Oversee implementation of risk-related technology projects from requirements through deployment.
• Establish appropriate documentation, testing, monitoring, and governance procedures.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual risk processes through automation and data engineering.

Candidate Requirements

• 6+ years of experience across FX risk, market risk, financial technology, trading technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of FX markets and market-risk concepts.
• Experience working with risk systems, financial-data platforms, or trading infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, databases, data pipelines, and modern software architectures.
• Experience with Python, SQL, or comparable analytical technologies.
• Understanding of exposure management, limits, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
• Strong project-management and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional English communication skills.
