A growing financial-services organisation in Estonia is seeking a senior FX Regulatory Controls Manager to develop and maintain robust control frameworks covering foreign-exchange activities, transaction processes, client operations, and regulatory obligations.

The role is suited to a compliance and controls professional with strong knowledge of financial markets who can translate regulatory requirements into practical, technology-enabled controls.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain regulatory-control frameworks for FX-related activities.
  • Review business processes to identify regulatory and operational control gaps.
  • Coordinate periodic compliance and control assessments.
  • Monitor FX transaction activity against applicable internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with compliance, risk, legal, operations, and technology teams on control implementation.
  • Support transaction-monitoring and financial-crime control processes.
  • Review exceptions and coordinate appropriate investigation and remediation.
  • Maintain detailed control documentation, procedures, and evidence.
  • Support regulatory examinations, internal audits, and control testing.
  • Assess regulatory implications of new FX products, workflows, and technology implementations.
  • Develop management reporting covering control performance and outstanding issues.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual compliance and control processes.
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide governance initiatives affecting FX operations.

What We Are Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in financial-services compliance, regulatory controls, risk, audit, or governance.
  • Strong understanding of FX products and financial-market operations.
  • Experience working within regulated European financial services is highly valuable.
  • Strong knowledge of control testing, risk assessments, and regulatory documentation.
  • Experience collaborating with technology teams on automated controls.
  • Strong analytical and investigative abilities.
  • Excellent written documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Degree in Finance, Law, Economics, Risk, Compliance, or a related discipline; relevant professional qualifications are advantageous.
