The Opportunity

A growing financial technology operation in Estonia is looking for an FX Risk & Compliance Specialist to strengthen its framework for foreign-exchange activities, transaction monitoring, operational controls, and regulatory compliance.

The role combines financial-market knowledge with practical risk management and compliance expertise. You will work closely with operations, compliance, trading, product, and technology teams to ensure that FX processes remain controlled, transparent, and aligned with applicable regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do

• Monitor FX-related activities and identify emerging operational, market, liquidity, and counterparty risks.
• Support the development and maintenance of FX risk-control frameworks.
• Review trading and transaction activity against established policies and risk parameters.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, internal controls, and compliance documentation.
• Support transaction-monitoring and escalation processes where required.
• Conduct risk assessments for new FX products, trading workflows, and operational changes.
• Investigate exceptions, control breaches, and unusual transaction patterns.
• Produce risk reports and management-level analysis.
• Work with technology teams to improve automated controls and monitoring capabilities.
• Contribute to internal audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in financial services, FX, investment operations, risk, compliance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of foreign-exchange markets and financial products.
• Knowledge of market-risk principles, operational risk, transaction monitoring, and internal controls.
• Familiarity with European financial-services regulatory environments.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Experience working with financial data and reporting systems.
• High attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
• Relevant qualifications in finance, economics, risk, compliance, or business are advantageous.
