Role Summary

The Full-Stack Software Engineer will build and maintain user-facing applications alongside the backend services that support them. This role suits an engineer who can work across the application stack, collaborate with designers and product stakeholders, and contribute to software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.

• Build backend services, business logic, and API integrations supporting digital applications.

• Design and maintain database models, queries, and data-access components.

• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs and external services.

• Ensure applications meet performance, accessibility, security, and usability expectations.

• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests where appropriate.

• Troubleshoot technical issues across frontend and backend components.

• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, technical refinement, and release preparation.

• Work with product managers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver new features.

• Document technical decisions and contribute to improvements in development standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience developing and maintaining web applications across frontend and backend layers.

• Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.

• Experience with a backend framework and API development.

• Understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases and data modelling.

• Familiarity with Git, automated testing, and modern development practices.

• Awareness of web security, performance optimisation, and responsive design principles.

• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks independently.
