Role Summary

The Forex Trading Systems Integration Engineer will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving technical integrations across electronic foreign exchange trading infrastructure.

The position focuses on trading platform connectivity, market data integration, order routing interfaces, and communication between internal systems and external liquidity providers.

The successful candidate will collaborate with software engineers, trading operations, infrastructure specialists, and external technology partners to ensure that trading systems exchange information accurately and operate reliably.

This role requires strong software engineering capabilities, knowledge of financial market systems, and experience troubleshooting complex integration challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrations between electronic forex trading platforms and external financial technology systems.

• Support connectivity with liquidity providers, brokers, market data vendors, and institutional trading infrastructure.

• Implement and maintain API-based integrations supporting order execution, pricing information, and transaction reporting.

• Work with FIX protocol interfaces and other financial messaging standards used in electronic trading environments.

• Investigate connectivity failures, rejected messages, pricing inconsistencies, and order transmission issues.

• Support the integration of real-time market data feeds into internal trading applications.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve order routing functionality and system interoperability.

• Perform integration testing and technical validation before deploying trading system updates.

• Monitor integration performance, message delivery, system latency, and communication reliability.

• Develop technical scripts and automation tools to support system monitoring and troubleshooting.

• Maintain technical documentation covering integration architecture, configuration procedures, and system dependencies.

• Support incident investigations and coordinate technical resolutions with external service providers.

• Assist with system upgrades, platform migrations, and new trading technology implementations.

• Identify opportunities to improve integration efficiency, reduce technical errors, and strengthen system resilience.

• Contribute to technical reviews and recommend improvements to trading infrastructure architecture.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• At least three years of experience in software integration, financial technology engineering, or trading systems development.

• Understanding of foreign exchange trading workflows and electronic trading infrastructure.

• Practical experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, JSON, and financial system integrations.

• Familiarity with FIX protocol messaging and electronic trading connectivity.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, C++, or C#.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals, application monitoring, and system troubleshooting.

• Experience working with real-time financial data or transaction processing systems.

• Familiarity with Linux environments, version control, and software deployment practices.

• Knowledge of order routing, market data distribution, and execution-related system workflows.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with distributed engineering teams.

• Professional proficiency in English. Estonian language skills are an advantage.
