About the Role

An opportunity is available for a Forex Platform Developer to design and improve the applications that traders and operations teams use to access foreign exchange services. The role focuses on building intuitive, reliable, and responsive trading software, connecting user-facing applications with backend services, and improving the overall platform experience.

The ideal candidate combines practical software development experience with an interest in financial technology. You should be comfortable translating functional requirements into maintainable code, troubleshooting application issues, and collaborating with design, product, and engineering colleagues to deliver useful features.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web-based interfaces and supporting services for forex trading applications.

• Implement platform features covering price displays, trading accounts, order status, transaction histories, and user notifications.

• Connect frontend components to backend services through REST APIs, WebSockets, and other appropriate communication methods.

• Ensure that trading interfaces display market information and account activity accurately and consistently.

• Improve application responsiveness, usability, accessibility, and compatibility across modern browsers and devices.

• Identify and resolve frontend and backend defects, including issues involving data synchronisation and API communication.

• Participate in technical planning, feature estimation, peer reviews, and iterative software delivery.

• Work with UX/UI designers and product teams to turn user requirements into practical platform improvements.

• Maintain clear documentation and contribute to automated testing and release procedures.

• Follow secure coding practices when handling authentication, customer information, and financial transactions.

Required Skills and Experience

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a comparable qualification, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience with modern web technologies such as JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and a framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.

• Understanding of backend development, API integration, authentication, and structured data handling.

• Familiarity with Git, debugging tools, automated testing, and collaborative development workflows.

• Knowledge of responsive design, browser performance, and application accessibility.

• Ability to analyse technical problems, manage development tasks, and deliver maintainable solutions.

• Good written and verbal communication skills for working with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Experience with financial dashboards, trading interfaces, charting libraries, WebSockets, or live market-data visualisation is beneficial. Knowledge of forex trading concepts is welcome, although a strong software engineering background is the primary requirement.
