Role Summary

The Front-End Developer — Interactive Dashboards & Data Visualisation will build data-rich web interfaces that enable users to explore metrics, monitor activity, and interpret information efficiently. The role combines frontend development with data presentation, interaction design, and performance optimisation for applications that process and display frequently updated information.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interactive dashboards, reporting interfaces, charts, tables, and filtering tools.

• Integrate frontend components with APIs that provide operational or financial data.

• Implement sorting, searching, filtering, pagination, and data-export functionality.

• Present complex information through clear layouts and appropriate visualisation techniques.

• Optimise rendering performance when displaying large datasets or frequently refreshed information.

• Ensure interfaces remain usable across desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes.

• Handle loading states, validation errors, empty results, and API failures appropriately.

• Write automated tests for key user interactions and data-display components.

• Collaborate with backend developers, data specialists, designers, and QA engineers.

• Document reusable components and maintainable approaches to data-driven interface development.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience building interactive web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Proficiency with React, Vue, Angular, or a comparable frontend framework.

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive layouts, and browser APIs.

• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling structured data formats such as JSON.

• Familiarity with charting or data-visualisation libraries is an advantage.

• Understanding of frontend performance optimisation and asynchronous data handling.

• Experience with Git and frontend testing practices.

• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
