Role Summary

The Forex Liquidity Operations Analyst will monitor and support the operational performance of liquidity arrangements used across foreign exchange trading services.

The position involves reviewing liquidity availability, monitoring provider performance, investigating execution-related issues and analysing operational data associated with currency trading. The successful candidate will collaborate with dealing, pricing, technology and risk management teams to support consistent liquidity access and efficient trade execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor liquidity availability across supported foreign exchange currency pairs.

• Review liquidity conditions received from external liquidity providers.

• Analyse liquidity coverage during different market sessions and trading conditions.

• Monitor provider performance and identify recurring service quality issues.

• Investigate execution delays, liquidity gaps and unusual trading conditions.

• Review transaction data to identify patterns affecting liquidity availability.

• Coordinate with dealing teams regarding liquidity-related operational concerns.

• Assist with the monitoring of provider connectivity and trading infrastructure performance.

• Maintain accurate records of liquidity incidents and operational investigations.

• Prepare periodic reports covering provider performance and liquidity observations.

• Support the onboarding and operational assessment of new liquidity providers.

• Assist with testing changes to liquidity configurations and trading connections.

• Monitor market conditions that may influence liquidity availability during volatile periods.

• Work with technology teams to investigate connectivity problems affecting liquidity feeds.

• Identify opportunities to improve liquidity monitoring and operational reporting.

• Maintain documentation covering liquidity procedures, provider arrangements and operational controls.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Mathematics or a related discipline.

• Experience in forex brokerage, liquidity operations, trading support or financial market operations.

• Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets and currency trading instruments.

• Familiarity with liquidity providers, trading platforms and execution workflows.

• Knowledge of bid and ask pricing, spreads, market depth and execution conditions.

• Understanding of trading sessions and the impact of market volatility on liquidity.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis tools.

• Knowledge of SQL or Python is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and numerical reasoning abilities.

• Ability to investigate operational issues and communicate findings clearly.

• Excellent organisational and documentation skills.

• Ability to collaborate with dealing, pricing and technology teams remotely.
