We are looking for a Fintech Regulatory Data Specialist to support the accurate preparation, validation, and management of data used within regulated financial operations.

The role combines financial data analysis, reporting processes, data validation, and regulatory operations. It is designed for a detail-oriented professional who understands the importance of producing complete, consistent, and traceable financial information.

Core Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare financial and operational data required for regulatory reporting activities.
• Validate data received from internal systems and identify inconsistencies or missing information.
• Perform reconciliations between reporting datasets and underlying transaction or financial records.
• Investigate data exceptions and coordinate corrections with relevant teams.
• Maintain structured documentation supporting reported figures and data sources.
• Assist with recurring regulatory and financial reporting processes.
• Monitor reporting deadlines and ensure required datasets are prepared within established timelines.
• Work with finance, compliance, risk, technology, and operations teams to resolve data-related issues.
• Support the development of automated data-quality checks and reporting controls.
• Maintain reporting templates, data dictionaries, process documentation, and control records.
• Analyse recurring data problems and recommend improvements to source systems or reporting workflows.
• Contribute to projects designed to improve the accuracy, traceability, and efficiency of regulatory data processes.

Candidate Profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with financial data, regulatory reporting, banking operations, fintech, audit support, or data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical reasoning.
• Advanced Excel or spreadsheet capabilities.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, data warehouses, or reporting platforms is an advantage.
• Understanding of financial transactions and European financial-services environments.
• Strong documentation and analytical skills.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and communicate findings clearly.
• Comfortable handling confidential and regulated financial information.
