We are seeking a technically strong Fintech Integration Engineer to design and develop the integrations connecting financial platforms, payment providers, banking services, and internal applications.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex integration challenges and understands the importance of reliability, security, data consistency, and observability in financial systems.

The Role

You will design, implement, and maintain integration services that allow financial technology platforms to communicate reliably with external providers and internal systems.

You will work closely with backend engineers, architects, product teams, payment specialists, and external technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement APIs and integration services for fintech applications.
• Integrate payment providers, banking platforms, identity services, and financial-data providers.
• Develop reliable data-exchange and transaction-processing workflows.
• Implement REST, event-driven, and asynchronous integration patterns.
• Manage authentication, authorisation, encryption, and secure API communication.
• Develop automated tests for integrations and critical transaction workflows.
• Monitor integration health, performance, failures, and service availability.
• Investigate and resolve integration-related production incidents.
• Implement appropriate retry, timeout, idempotency, and error-handling mechanisms.
• Collaborate with external technology providers during integration projects.
• Document APIs, technical dependencies, workflows, and integration specifications.
• Support platform migrations and replacement of legacy integrations.
• Contribute to architectural decisions around financial-system connectivity.

Technical Environment

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of software-engineering experience.
• Strong professional experience developing integrations and APIs.
• Experience with payment, banking, fintech, or other transaction-based systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of security and data integrity.
• Comfortable working with external technology partners.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Professional English communication skills.
