We are seeking an experienced Bitcoin Infrastructure Engineer to develop and maintain reliable technology supporting Bitcoin custody, transaction processing, wallet infrastructure, and blockchain connectivity in Estonia.

This is a deeply technical role for an engineer who understands Bitcoin’s architecture and can build production-grade systems where security, transaction integrity, availability, and operational resilience are critical.

The Role

You will work across Bitcoin node infrastructure, wallet services, transaction pipelines, monitoring, and internal financial platforms. You will collaborate with security engineers, backend developers, product teams, and operations specialists to deliver robust Bitcoin capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain production Bitcoin infrastructure.
• Deploy, configure, monitor, and upgrade Bitcoin Core nodes.
• Develop services for blockchain data ingestion and transaction processing.
• Build secure interfaces between Bitcoin infrastructure and internal financial platforms.
• Develop wallet-management and transaction-processing services.
• Implement transaction validation, monitoring, and operational controls.
• Design resilient systems for blockchain connectivity and service availability.
• Develop APIs and internal services supporting Bitcoin operations.
• Monitor blockchain activity and infrastructure performance.
• Investigate transaction-processing and node-related incidents.
• Implement appropriate key-management and access-control practices alongside security teams.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in architecture reviews and infrastructure-modernisation initiatives.

• Linux
• Python, Go, Rust, Java, or C++
• REST APIs
• PostgreSQL
• Docker and Kubernetes
• AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Prometheus and Grafana
• CI/CD and infrastructure automation

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of professional software or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Practical experience working with Bitcoin or blockchain infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Bitcoin transactions, UTXOs, blocks, confirmations, fees, and network architecture.
• Strong backend and distributed-systems knowledge.
• Security-conscious engineering approach.
• Experience operating production systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident-response capabilities.
• Experience in fintech, digital assets, payments, or financial infrastructure is highly valuable.
