We are seeking an experienced Fintech Engineering Manager to lead software-engineering teams responsible for developing secure, scalable, and high-performance financial technology platforms in Estonia.

This position combines people leadership, technical direction, delivery management, and engineering strategy. You will work closely with product, architecture, security, data, and operations leaders to ensure engineering teams consistently deliver production-grade financial technology.

The Role

You will manage engineers across one or more fintech product areas while remaining technically engaged in architecture, engineering standards, delivery planning, and complex technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing software-engineering teams.
• Establish engineering objectives aligned with product and business priorities.
• Support architecture decisions for scalable fintech platforms.
• Coordinate engineering delivery across multiple product and technology initiatives.
• Establish standards for code quality, testing, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Partner with product managers to develop realistic technical roadmaps.
• Monitor engineering performance, delivery risks, technical debt, and platform health.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance development, and career progression.
• Promote effective Agile and engineering practices.
• Work with DevOps and platform teams to improve deployment and operational reliability.
• Coordinate resolution of significant production incidents and recurring technical issues.
• Encourage automation, observability, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Communicate technical priorities and risks clearly to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of professional software-engineering experience.
• 2+ years of engineering-management or technical leadership experience.
• Background in fintech, payments, banking, financial infrastructure, or another high-reliability technology environment.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, APIs, databases, distributed systems, and modern development practices.
• Proven ability to develop engineers and build effective technical teams.
• Strong understanding of security, reliability, and software-quality principles.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Experience working in international, cross-functional environments.
