Role Overview

A technology-driven financial services organization is seeking a Fintech Data Governance Manager to establish robust frameworks for managing financial, customer, transaction, and operational data. This is a senior position focused on data quality, ownership, privacy, controls, and responsible use of data across fintech operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain enterprise-wide data governance frameworks.
• Define data ownership, classification, quality, retention, and access standards.
• Develop controls for sensitive financial and customer information.
• Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to improve data quality.
• Establish data lineage and documentation across critical fintech systems.
• Support regulatory, audit, privacy, and risk-management requirements.
• Identify data-related operational risks and coordinate remediation programs.
• Develop governance metrics and executive-level reporting.
• Promote consistent data-management practices across product and technology teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in data governance, financial services, risk, technology, or compliance.
• Strong understanding of data quality, metadata, lineage, privacy, and information controls.
• Experience working with large financial or transactional datasets.
• Knowledge of European data-protection and financial-services requirements.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with SQL, data-management platforms, or governance tooling is advantageous.
