We are looking for a Fintech Data Governance Lead to establish a structured framework for managing the quality, ownership, security, lineage, and appropriate use of critical financial data.

This is a cross-functional leadership position connecting Data, Engineering, Compliance, Security, Finance, Product, and Operations.

Your Mandate

You will establish the policies and operating practices required to ensure that important data has clear ownership, consistent definitions, appropriate controls, and reliable quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an enterprise data-governance framework for fintech operations.
• Establish data ownership, stewardship, classification, and accountability models.
• Define standards for critical financial and customer-data domains.
• Establish data-quality frameworks, controls, and monitoring processes.
• Develop requirements for data lineage and traceability.
• Partner with Engineering and Data teams to improve data architecture and governance.
• Support regulatory and internal requirements concerning financial and customer information.
• Coordinate data-retention, access, classification, and lifecycle-management initiatives.
• Establish common definitions for important business and financial metrics.
• Investigate recurring data-quality problems and coordinate remediation.
• Support audits and control assessments involving data governance.
• Develop governance documentation, standards, procedures, and reporting.
• Promote responsible and controlled use of data across the organization.

What You Bring

• 6+ years of experience in data governance, data management, financial services, fintech, information management, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of data quality, lineage, metadata, classification, and ownership.
• Experience operating across technical and business functions.
• Familiarity with financial data and regulated information environments.
• Strong understanding of information-security and privacy principles.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience implementing governance frameworks rather than simply documenting them.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
