Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Fintech Application Security Engineer to help embed security into the development lifecycle of digital financial products.

You will work directly with software engineers, platform teams, security specialists, and product managers to identify application vulnerabilities, improve secure-development practices, and protect customer-facing financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct application-security assessments across web, mobile, and backend services.
• Perform secure code reviews and identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Support penetration testing and vulnerability-management activities.
• Integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with development teams to remediate identified security issues.
• Establish secure coding standards and development guidelines.
• Analyze application architectures for security weaknesses.
• Support threat modeling for new fintech products and features.
• Monitor emerging application-security threats and attack techniques.
• Develop security documentation, findings, and remediation guidance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud-security teams.
• Support security investigations involving applications and APIs.

Technical Profile

• 4+ years of experience in application security, security engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of OWASP principles and common web-application vulnerabilities.
• Experience with API security, authentication, authorization, and secure session management.
• Familiarity with SAST, DAST, dependency-scanning, and security-testing tools.
• Strong understanding of software-development lifecycles.
• Experience with cloud-native applications is highly desirable.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with container and CI/CD security is advantageous.
• Relevant security certifications are beneficial.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
