Role Summary

The Financial Software Release & Deployment Coordinator will manage the coordination of software releases and deployment activities across financial technology platforms.

The position focuses on release planning, deployment scheduling, change documentation, stakeholder coordination and post-release monitoring. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, quality assurance engineers, DevOps specialists and financial operations teams to ensure that system updates are introduced in a controlled and organised manner.

The role is particularly suited to a professional who understands software delivery processes and recognises the operational importance of stability in financial technology environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate software release schedules across fintech applications and financial infrastructure.

• Maintain release calendars and communicate deployment timelines to relevant stakeholders.

• Organise release planning activities involving development, testing and operations teams.

• Review release documentation to ensure that deployment requirements are properly recorded.

• Coordinate pre-release readiness checks and ensure that required approvals are obtained.

• Monitor deployment progress and communicate potential delays or operational concerns.

• Work with QA teams to confirm that testing activities have been completed before releases.

• Coordinate with DevOps engineers on deployment procedures and technical dependencies.

• Maintain records of software changes, release versions and deployment outcomes.

• Support change management procedures for updates affecting critical financial systems.

• Coordinate post-deployment reviews and track outstanding technical issues.

• Assist with rollback planning and escalation procedures for unsuccessful releases.

• Identify opportunities to improve release coordination and reduce deployment-related disruptions.

• Prepare release status reports for engineering and business stakeholders.

• Ensure that deployment documentation follows established internal procedures.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives involving software delivery and release governance.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

• Previous experience in software release coordination, IT project delivery, change management or technical operations.

• Understanding of software development lifecycle processes.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software deployment procedures.

• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts, version control and release management tools.

• Experience working with Jira, Git, Jenkins or comparable development and tracking platforms is advantageous.

• Understanding of testing, quality assurance and production deployment processes.

• Awareness of the operational requirements of banking, payments or other financial technology applications.

• Strong organisational and coordination skills.

• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple release activities and meet scheduled deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
