The organization is strengthening its financial analytics capabilities and seeks a Financial Data Analytics Specialist who can transform financial and operational information into meaningful insights that support business planning and product improvement.

Role Summary

The Financial Data Analytics Specialist will analyze financial and operational datasets to identify performance trends, evaluate business outcomes, and support evidence-based decision-making across the organization.

The role involves developing analytical reports, maintaining business intelligence dashboards, validating financial datasets, and interpreting trends across digital financial services.

The successful candidate will collaborate with finance, product, operations, and technology teams to ensure that analytical outputs are accurate, relevant, and useful for business planning.

This position requires strong data analysis capabilities combined with an understanding of financial transactions, fintech operations, and business performance measurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational datasets generated by digital financial platforms.

• Develop reports and dashboards covering financial performance, transaction volumes, revenue, and operational efficiency.

• Extract, clean, validate, and organize financial information from multiple data sources.

• Identify trends and patterns affecting payment activity, customer behaviour, and financial product performance.

• Develop key performance indicators and analytical metrics for relevant business functions.

• Work with finance teams to analyze revenue performance, transaction costs, and operational expenditure.

• Support product teams with data insights relating to customer engagement and digital product usage.

• Perform variance analysis to identify differences between expected and actual financial results.

• Prepare recurring management reports and analytical summaries.

• Build and maintain dashboards using business intelligence tools.

• Use SQL to retrieve and analyze structured financial datasets.

• Collaborate with data engineers to improve the quality and accessibility of analytical information.

• Investigate data inconsistencies and coordinate appropriate corrections.

• Support forecasting and trend analysis using historical financial and operational data.

• Identify opportunities to automate recurring analytical and reporting processes.

• Present analytical findings in a clear format suitable for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

• At least three years of experience in financial analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, or fintech reporting.

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured datasets.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial data analysis.

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence platforms.

• Understanding of financial performance indicators and transaction-based business models.

• Familiarity with data cleaning, validation, and transformation processes.

• Ability to develop dashboards and communicate analytical findings.

• Understanding of financial reporting and business performance analysis.

• Experience working with large datasets from financial or technology platforms.

• Python or other analytical programming experience is advantageous.

• Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Professional proficiency in English.
