We are looking for a Financial Automation Engineer to identify manual operational processes and transform them into reliable automated workflows.

The role sits at the intersection of software engineering and financial operations. You will work closely with Finance, Operations, Payments, Compliance, and Product teams to understand how financial processes work today and engineer better ways of executing them.

What You Will Build

• Automated workflows for financial and operational processes.
• Reconciliation and exception-management systems.
• Automated reporting and financial-data pipelines.
• Workflow integrations between internal platforms and external financial services.
• Validation and control mechanisms for financial transactions.
• Automated operational notifications and escalation workflows.
• Tools for monitoring process performance and identifying exceptions.
• Internal applications that reduce manual intervention across financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manual financial processes and identify suitable automation opportunities.
• Design and implement reliable automation workflows.
• Integrate financial platforms using APIs and event-driven technologies.
• Develop validation mechanisms to prevent incorrect financial processing.
• Build monitoring and alerting around automated workflows.
• Investigate automation failures and implement permanent fixes.
• Work with Finance and Operations teams to document business processes.
• Translate operational requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop automated testing for business-critical workflows.
• Measure automation effectiveness through processing time, accuracy, reliability, and operational-efficiency metrics.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.
• Support continuous improvement of financial technology infrastructure.

Technical Background

Experience with several of the following is desirable:

• Python, Java, Go, or similar programming languages
• SQL
• REST APIs
• Event-driven architecture
• Cloud services
• Workflow orchestration
• Databases
• CI/CD
• Automated testing
• Monitoring and observability
• Financial or payment-system integrations

The Right Candidate

You are an engineer who enjoys understanding how a business process actually works before automating it. You pay attention to edge cases, financial accuracy, failure handling, auditability, and operational resilience.

Experience in fintech, banking, accounting technology, payments, or financial operations is highly valuable.
