Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Financial API Integration Specialist to support the integration, configuration, and maintenance of APIs connecting financial applications and external service providers. The successful candidate will work with engineering, product, and technical operations teams to ensure reliable data exchange, efficient system connectivity, and consistent integration performance.

This role is suited to a technically minded professional with experience in API development, financial systems connectivity, and troubleshooting complex integration issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain API integrations between financial platforms and external services.

• Support connectivity between payment applications, banking systems, and financial service providers.

• Develop and maintain RESTful API integrations and related technical documentation.

• Investigate API failures, authentication issues, and data transmission errors.

• Monitor integration performance and recommend improvements to system reliability.

• Work with software engineers to resolve technical integration challenges.

• Support sandbox testing and production deployment of financial integrations.

• Implement appropriate authentication and access control mechanisms.

• Maintain integration logs, technical specifications, and troubleshooting records.

• Collaborate with product teams to translate integration requirements into technical solutions.

• Participate in API version management and integration testing.

• Ensure integrations follow established security and data protection practices.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Professional experience in API integration or software development.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and webhooks.

• Experience with financial applications, banking systems, or payment platforms.

• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, API keys, and secure authentication methods.

• Knowledge of SQL and database integration.

• Experience using Postman, Swagger, or similar API testing tools.

• Understanding of software development workflows and version control systems.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work independently.
