About the role

As an Engineering Manager for our  Plus team, you will lead a team of 7 engineers, collaborate with product managers, designers and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for the delivery and growth of  our membership product.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Leading and mentoring software engineers in the  Plus team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Aligning with critical stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and other dependent teams to plan and prioritize the team’s work.
Taking ownership of the team’s architecture, including making sure it reflects the team’s needs and transforming the system to reduce friction.
Ensuring delivery excellence by maintaining high standards for quality, performance, and reliability in engineering projects within our Plus.
Effective team leading, collaborating with different engineering teams, and giving proper feedback to your peers and direct reports.
Managing team capacity, hiring, and performance evaluations.

About you:

You have a strong technical background and are technically competent; we are looking for an Engineering Manager, not just a people manager.
You possess strong communication and collaboration skills, which are essential for success in this team.
You have proven experience in management or team leadership within a tech environment.
You have solid experience in making data-driven and metric-driven decisions.
You have a drive for leading initiatives and features till the end, even if the last mile is the hardest.
You are empathetic while helping individuals overcome obstacles and you collaborate with others effectively.
