The Role

A forward-looking financial technology organisation in Estonia is seeking a Digital Payments Specialist to support the development and operation of modern payment services.

This role is ideal for a professional who understands how digital payments work across customers, merchants, banks, payment providers, and technology platforms. You will help ensure that payment processes operate efficiently while identifying opportunities to improve reliability, transaction performance, and the overall customer experience.

The position combines financial-services knowledge, operational analysis, technology, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support day-to-day digital payment processes.
• Analyse payment transactions and identify processing exceptions.
• Support integrations with banks, payment service providers, card networks, and other financial platforms.
• Investigate failed, delayed, rejected, or duplicated transactions.
• Assist with reconciliation and settlement processes.
• Monitor payment performance and identify recurring operational issues.
• Work with technology teams to resolve payment-system problems.
• Support testing of new payment functionality and system integrations.
• Review transaction data to identify trends and potential process improvements.
• Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
• Assist with payment-related reporting and performance analysis.
• Contribute to the improvement of internal payment procedures.
• Ensure payment activities are handled in accordance with established controls and processes.
• Support customer-facing teams with technically complex payment enquiries when required.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate should have:

• Experience in payments, fintech, banking, financial operations, or related technology.
• Good understanding of payment processing and transaction lifecycles.
• Familiarity with card payments, bank transfers, digital wallets, or payment APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail when handling financial transactions.
• Experience using digital financial platforms, operational systems, CRM tools, or analytical software.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Understanding of data security and confidentiality.
• Professional English communication skills.
