Digital payments depend on thousands of transactions moving accurately between customers, financial institutions, payment networks, and technology platforms. We are seeking a Digital Payments Operations Specialist to support the smooth execution and monitoring of payment activity within a sophisticated fintech environment.

This is a hands-on specialist position for someone who understands operational processes, transaction lifecycles, exception handling, and the importance of accuracy in financial technology.

What You Will Do

• Monitor daily payment activity across digital payment channels and transaction platforms.
• Track successful, failed, pending, reversed, and rejected transactions.
• Investigate payment exceptions and coordinate their resolution with relevant teams.
• Review transaction flows to identify operational interruptions or unusual processing patterns.
• Support payment settlement, reconciliation, refunds, reversals, and transaction adjustments.
• Work with payment providers and banking partners to resolve operational issues.
• Maintain accurate records of payment incidents and resolution activities.
• Assist with testing payment-system changes before and after implementation.
• Monitor operational queues and ensure outstanding payment issues are handled within defined service standards.
• Prepare regular payment operations reports and performance summaries.
• Identify recurring operational problems and recommend improvements to payment workflows.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of payment operations procedures.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in payment operations, banking operations, fintech, transaction processing, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of digital payment flows and transaction lifecycles.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple operational cases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, operational dashboards, ticketing systems, and financial platforms.
• Familiarity with card payments, bank transfers, digital wallets, SEPA, or payment service providers is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and operational teams.
• Ability to remain organised and precise in a fast-moving environment.
