🎯 Role Summary

The Digital Banking Risk Analyst will assess, monitor, and analyse potential risks affecting digital banking operations and financial products.

The position involves evaluating financial and operational information, monitoring risk indicators, investigating unusual account activity, and supporting the development of effective risk management procedures.

Working remotely within Estonia, the analyst will collaborate with compliance professionals, banking operations, fraud prevention specialists, and product teams to identify potential vulnerabilities and improve risk management processes.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Monitor financial and operational risk indicators across digital banking platforms.

• Analyse account activity, transaction patterns, and financial records to identify potential risk exposure.

• Support assessments of credit, operational, and transaction-related risks.

• Investigate unusual account behaviour and escalate potential risk incidents.

• Review risk reports and identify trends that may affect banking operations.

• Assist with the development and maintenance of risk assessment methodologies.

• Collaborate with fraud and compliance teams to investigate suspicious activities.

• Monitor customer and transaction risk indicators in accordance with internal procedures.

• Prepare periodic reports covering risk exposure and operational performance.

• Support internal risk reviews and control assessment activities.

• Identify weaknesses in existing risk management procedures and recommend improvements.

• Maintain accurate records of risk assessments and investigation findings.

• Contribute to initiatives designed to improve digital banking security and operational resilience.

🎓 Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Statistics, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• At least three years of experience in financial risk analysis, banking operations, or fintech risk management.

• Understanding of digital banking products and financial transaction processes.

• Knowledge of operational risk, credit risk, and fraud-related risk indicators.

• Familiarity with financial reporting and risk assessment methodologies.

• Strong Excel and financial data analysis skills.

• Experience with SQL or business intelligence tools is an advantage.

• Understanding of AML and customer due diligence principles.

• Excellent analytical and numerical reasoning abilities.

• Strong report-writing and communication skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive financial information professionally.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
