Position Overview

We are seeking a senior Crypto Wallet Risk & Security Manager to oversee the risk-management and security framework surrounding cryptocurrency wallet infrastructure.

The position combines managerial responsibility with specialist expertise in digital-asset security, transaction controls, access management, operational risk, and blockchain infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the wallet risk and security function and manage specialist personnel.
• Establish security and risk standards for cryptocurrency wallet infrastructure.
• Oversee controls governing wallet access, transaction authorisation, privileged accounts, and sensitive operations.
• Coordinate security assessments of wallet applications, APIs, infrastructure, and blockchain integrations.
• Develop and maintain risk registers, security controls, and mitigation plans.
• Oversee vulnerability assessments and security testing programmes.
• Establish incident-response procedures for wallet and digital-asset security events.
• Monitor security incidents and coordinate investigation and remediation activities.
• Work closely with engineering teams to strengthen wallet architecture and infrastructure security.
• Review the security implications of new blockchain integrations and digital-asset products.
• Prepare risk and security reports for senior leadership.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal control assessments.
• Develop team capability through coaching, training, and structured performance management.

Experience & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, fintech, cryptocurrency, financial services, or technology risk.
• Previous management experience in security, risk, or digital-asset infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of cryptocurrency wallets and blockchain technology.
• Understanding of cryptographic key management, HSMs, secrets management, and privileged-access controls.
• Experience with cloud security, API security, application security, and infrastructure protection.
• Familiarity with blockchain transaction mechanisms and digital-asset security risks.
• Strong knowledge of security governance, incident response, and risk-management practices.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
