Role Overview

We are seeking a technically sophisticated Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, secure, and optimise cloud infrastructure supporting high-availability financial technology platforms.

The role is ideal for an infrastructure professional who understands the demanding requirements of fintech environments, including scalability, resilience, security, automation, observability, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure for fintech applications and services.
• Deploy and maintain production environments across cloud platforms.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automated provisioning practices.
• Develop CI/CD infrastructure supporting rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and reliability.
• Implement appropriate identity, access, networking, encryption, and security controls.
• Support high-availability and disaster-recovery architectures.
• Optimise cloud resources and identify opportunities for improved cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering, Security, Data, and DevOps teams.
• Establish infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability standards.
• Maintain technical documentation covering architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Strong experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or comparable platforms.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD technologies.
• Strong Linux, networking, security, and automation knowledge.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Cloud certifications are advantageous.
