We are looking for a Backend Platform Engineer to build the services, APIs, tooling, and infrastructure that enable product engineering teams to deliver reliable technology at scale.

Rather than focusing on a single application, you will work on foundational backend capabilities used across multiple products and services.

Your Mission

You will help establish a dependable engineering platform that makes application development faster, safer, and more scalable.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reusable backend services and platform components.
• Build internal APIs, service frameworks, authentication systems, and shared infrastructure.
• Establish patterns for service communication, data management, observability, and resilience.
• Develop event-driven systems using messaging and streaming technologies.
• Improve developer tooling, deployment processes, and engineering workflows.
• Build services capable of handling high-volume workloads.
• Establish automated testing, monitoring, and reliability practices.
• Work with DevOps and infrastructure engineers on cloud-native deployments.
• Participate in technical architecture and platform-roadmap decisions.
• Identify recurring engineering problems and develop reusable platform solutions.

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Go, Java, Kotlin, Python, or comparable technologies.
• Experience building distributed services and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Kubernetes and modern cloud environments.
• Understanding of system reliability, observability, security, and performance engineering.
• Strong architectural thinking and ability to work across engineering teams.
