The Role

• Cloud-Native Architecture: Design, build, and scale high-reliability microservices on an AWS infrastructure.

• End-to-End Ownership: Take full accountability for services across their entire lifecycle – from design and deployment to production monitoring.

• Product-Driven Engineering: Collaborate closely with product, domain, and data specialists to translate complex financial needs into seamless user experiences.

• System & Cost Optimization: Fine-tune distributed system performance, resilience, and AWS resource utilization.

What we are looking for

• At least 5 years of commercial experience as Backend engineer

• Core Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.

• Modern Distributed Stack: Hands-on experience with containerization, messaging, and storage systems (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL).

• Engineering Standards: Solid foundation in test-driven development (TDD), DevOps culture, and clean RESTful API design.

• Mindset & Ownership: Self-directed approach to prioritization in a fast-paced ecosystem, with a focus on product impact over pure code exercise.You are excited about building something truly meaningful in the financial sector.

What we consider a plus

• Background in financial systems or payment integrations.

• Full-stack exposure or advanced AWS proficiency (e.g., AWS Well-Architected Framework).

• Database management skills: Specialized PostgreSQL tuning, capacity planning, performance management and scaling experience.
