Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Director to provide strategic leadership across major energy and infrastructure initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee long-term planning, operational performance, investment priorities, stakeholder relationships, and the execution of strategic programmes designed to strengthen organizational growth and resilience.

This position requires an executive who can operate comfortably between high-level strategy and practical implementation. The Director will work with senior management, technical specialists, financial teams, external partners, regulators, and project leaders to ensure that major initiatives are commercially viable, operationally sound, and delivered according to established objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish strategic priorities and long-term objectives for assigned business and infrastructure programmes.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for major operational and development initiatives.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, project proposals, and expansion strategies.
• Monitor financial, operational, technical, and performance indicators.
• Develop strategies for improving efficiency, reliability, and long-term organizational performance.
• Oversee major projects from planning and investment assessment through implementation.
• Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, investors, suppliers, technical partners, and other stakeholders.
• Identify emerging risks and establish appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Review market developments, technological advances, and industry trends.
• Provide senior leadership with comprehensive analysis and recommendations.
• Establish performance frameworks and ensure teams remain accountable for agreed objectives.
• Promote innovation, sustainability, and continuous operational improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Energy Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Significant senior-level experience in infrastructure, energy, operations, investment, or strategic management.
• Strong commercial and strategic judgment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and complex programmes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong understanding of budgets, business cases, performance metrics, and organizational strategy.
• Professional English proficiency; Estonian language skills are an advantage.
