Role Summary

The Credit Bureau Integration Specialist will manage the implementation, maintenance and operational performance of integrations between digital lending platforms and external credit information providers.

The position involves coordinating API integrations, reviewing data exchange processes, supporting credit information retrieval and investigating technical issues affecting credit bureau connectivity. The successful candidate will work closely with software engineers, credit risk analysts, product teams and external data providers to ensure that credit information is transferred accurately and securely.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate integrations between fintech platforms and external credit bureau services.

• Review technical and business requirements for credit information exchange.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of credit bureau APIs.

• Monitor the reliability and performance of existing credit data integrations.

• Investigate failed requests, incomplete responses and data transmission errors.

• Work with software engineers to resolve integration-related technical issues.

• Validate incoming credit information to ensure data completeness and consistency.

• Coordinate testing of credit bureau connections before production deployment.

• Maintain technical documentation covering integration workflows and data requirements.

• Support the configuration of credit information retrieval processes within lending platforms.

• Monitor third-party service performance and escalate recurring connectivity issues.

• Collaborate with credit risk teams to understand the data requirements of lending models.

• Assist with improvements to credit data processing and information retrieval procedures.

• Ensure that integration activities follow applicable data protection and information security requirements.

• Prepare operational reports covering integration performance and outstanding issues.

• Participate in the evaluation and onboarding of additional credit information providers.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance or a related discipline.

• Previous experience in financial technology integrations, credit systems or API implementation.

• Understanding of credit bureau services and digital lending processes.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, authentication protocols and data exchange mechanisms.

• Knowledge of SQL and database querying.

• Ability to interpret API documentation and technical integration specifications.

• Understanding of data validation and information security principles.

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman is an advantage.

• Familiarity with cloud-based financial platforms is beneficial.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with external technology providers.

• High attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
