Role Summary

The Fintech Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions for financial technology applications. The role focuses on validating software functionality, identifying defects, and ensuring that system changes do not compromise transaction processing or other critical financial workflows.

Working alongside software developers, product specialists, and technical support teams, the engineer will contribute to testing strategies that improve release confidence and reduce recurring software defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated test scripts for fintech applications and backend services.

• Develop test scenarios covering payment workflows, account operations, transaction processing, and system integrations.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and API testing.

• Identify software defects and document findings with clear reproduction steps.

• Collaborate with developers to investigate technical issues and verify corrective changes.

• Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

• Review product requirements and technical specifications to identify potential testing gaps.

• Validate system behavior under different transaction conditions and operational scenarios.

• Maintain test documentation, test data, and quality assurance reports.

• Support release testing and provide feedback on software readiness.

• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and defect detection.

• Participate in engineering reviews and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Professional experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test automation engineering.

• Understanding of software development lifecycles and structured testing methodologies.

• Experience with at least one automation framework or programming language used for testing.

• Familiarity with API testing, backend systems, and database validation.

• Ability to develop test cases from technical requirements and business workflows.

• Understanding of regression testing, integration testing, and defect management.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools.

• Knowledge of payment systems, digital banking, or financial transaction workflows is an advantage.

• Experience with performance testing or security testing is beneficial.
