Role Summary

The Senior QA Engineer will lead complex testing activities across interconnected trading platform components. The role covers end-to-end integration testing, performance assessment, failure recovery, and release readiness, ensuring that platform changes do not compromise functionality or operational stability.

The successful candidate will bring advanced testing experience, a structured approach to investigating system behaviour, and the ability to coordinate quality activities across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end test strategies for integrated FX trading applications and supporting services.

• Validate interactions between trading interfaces, order-management systems, market-data feeds, and external APIs.

• Design test scenarios covering normal operations, high-volume activity, network interruptions, and service recovery.

• Conduct performance and load testing to assess response times, throughput, and resource utilisation.

• Test order-state consistency, execution reporting, transaction records, and error-handling behaviour.

• Investigate integration defects that span multiple services or external systems.

• Coordinate regression testing and provide evidence-based assessments of release readiness.

• Improve test coverage by identifying gaps in existing functional and integration suites.

• Work with developers, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders to resolve quality issues.

• Mentor QA colleagues and promote consistent testing standards and documentation practices.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Significant experience in software quality assurance, integration testing, or test engineering.

• Strong understanding of end-to-end testing, service integration, and distributed systems.

• Experience with API testing, SQL, log analysis, and test automation.

• Familiarity with performance-testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or comparable solutions.

• Experience diagnosing complex defects across multiple application components.

• Knowledge of trading platforms, FX order workflows, or financial transaction systems is an advantage.

• Strong communication, test planning, and technical reporting skills.

• Ability to work independently and coordinate testing activities across distributed teams.
