Role Summary

The Fintech Business Intelligence Developer will design, develop and maintain reporting solutions that transform financial and operational data into useful business insights. The position focuses on building data models, developing interactive dashboards, improving reporting workflows and ensuring that business users have access to accurate and timely information.

The successful candidate will work with data engineers, finance specialists, product managers and operational teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver practical business intelligence solutions.

The role requires a combination of technical data skills, financial awareness and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear analytical outputs that support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards covering financial performance, transaction activity and operational indicators.

• Gather reporting requirements from finance, product, payment operations and business development teams.

• Build data models that support consistent reporting across multiple fintech business functions.

• Extract, transform and organise information from internal databases and external financial data sources.

• Develop and optimise SQL queries used for financial and operational reporting.

• Create automated reporting workflows that reduce manual data preparation.

• Design visual reports that communicate transaction trends, revenue performance and customer activity.

• Validate data accuracy and investigate inconsistencies between reporting systems.

• Work with data engineering teams to improve data pipelines and reporting infrastructure.

• Maintain documentation covering data definitions, reporting methodologies and dashboard functionality.

• Monitor the performance of existing reporting solutions and improve query efficiency where necessary.

• Support financial forecasting, business performance reviews and operational analysis through reliable datasets.

• Translate complex analytical findings into clear reports for business stakeholders.

• Implement appropriate data access controls and follow internal data governance procedures.

• Identify opportunities to improve reporting quality, data accessibility and analytical processes.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Finance or a related field.

• Professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics or reporting development.

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

• Practical experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker or comparable business intelligence platforms.

• Understanding of data modelling, ETL processes and reporting architecture.

• Familiarity with Python or another programming language for data analysis is an advantage.

• Ability to work with financial and transactional datasets.

• Understanding of fintech business processes, payments or digital banking is beneficial.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

• Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience automating recurring reports and improving data workflows is desirable.
