An international financial technology operation in Estonia is looking for an experienced FX Operations & Settlements Manager to lead critical post-trade processes across foreign-exchange transactions.

The successful candidate will oversee operational controls, settlements, reconciliations, exception management, and process optimisation while working closely with trading, treasury, finance, technology, and compliance functions.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational processes supporting FX transactions and settlements.
• Oversee trade confirmations, reconciliations, settlements, and transaction processing.
• Ensure timely resolution of settlement breaks and operational exceptions.
• Establish and maintain effective operational controls.
• Monitor transaction flows and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate with banks, liquidity providers, custodians, and other financial counterparties.
• Develop procedures that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Work with technology teams to automate repetitive FX operations.
• Monitor operational risk indicators and escalate significant issues appropriately.
• Prepare management reports covering settlement performance, exceptions, and operational risk.
• Support internal audits and regulatory or control reviews.
• Lead process-improvement initiatives across the FX operations function.
• Mentor and develop members of the operations team.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in FX operations, banking operations, treasury, brokerage, payments, or financial markets.
• Strong knowledge of FX trade lifecycles and settlement processes.
• Experience with reconciliations, transaction controls, and operational risk.
• Familiarity with SWIFT, payment infrastructure, trading platforms, or financial operations systems.
• Strong understanding of process governance and control frameworks.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience leading teams or complex operational projects.
• Professional English communication skills.
