Position Overview

An established fintech operation in Estonia is seeking an experienced Fintech Operations & Payments Manager to lead critical operational processes across digital payments, transaction management, customer operations, and financial-service delivery.

The successful candidate will combine operational leadership with a strong understanding of payment ecosystems, reconciliation, controls, service performance, and fintech processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operational activities across payment and fintech service functions.
• Oversee transaction processing, payment exceptions, settlements, reconciliations, and operational controls.
• Monitor payment performance and identify recurring operational issues.
• Coordinate with banking partners, payment providers, technology teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop procedures that improve operational efficiency and transaction accuracy.
• Establish KPIs and service-level metrics for payment operations.
• Investigate failed transactions, reconciliation discrepancies, and operational incidents.
• Support onboarding and implementation of new payment products and financial services.
• Strengthen internal controls and operational-risk processes.
• Lead process-automation initiatives to reduce manual workloads and improve service quality.
• Prepare operational reports and recommendations for senior management.

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of experience in fintech operations, payments, banking operations, financial services, or a related environment.
• Strong understanding of payment processing and transaction lifecycles.
• Experience with reconciliation, settlements, operational controls, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and external financial partners.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfortable working in a technology-driven, fast-moving environment.
• Knowledge of European payment systems and regulatory requirements is highly advantageous.
