Position Overview

A technology-led financial services organization is seeking an experienced Architect to design scalable digital-finance infrastructure supporting payment platforms, financial APIs, data services, and cloud-based applications. The role requires someone capable of translating complex business requirements into resilient technical architectures while balancing performance, security, scalability, and regulatory considerations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architecture for fintech applications and financial platforms.
• Define technical standards for APIs, microservices, databases, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop architectural solutions for high-volume transactional environments.
• Evaluate technology choices based on scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, cybersecurity, compliance, data, and operations teams.
• Establish integration patterns for banking, payment, identity, and third-party financial services.
• Review existing systems and identify opportunities for modernization and optimization.
• Develop technical architecture documentation, diagrams, and decision records.
• Support engineering teams during implementation and resolve complex architectural challenges.
• Contribute to technology strategy, platform modernization, and long-term technical roadmaps.

Candidate Profile

• Strong systems-thinking and architectural design capabilities.
• Excellent understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native technologies.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of security, resilience, observability, and performance engineering.
• Experience operating in regulated or highly transactional technology environments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of software engineering or technology architecture experience.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, databases, cloud platforms, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with financial services, payments, banking platforms, or fintech is highly desirable.
