About the Role

We are looking for an innovative Scientist to contribute to the development and application of advanced analytical and artificial-intelligence techniques within financial technology.

The successful candidate will investigate complex datasets, develop analytical methodologies, experiment with machine-learning approaches, and translate research findings into practical applications for digital financial services.

This role is suited to a technically curious professional who enjoys combining mathematics, statistics, programming, experimentation, and business problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research into AI, machine learning, statistical modelling, and financial-data applications.
• Develop analytical models capable of identifying meaningful patterns in complex datasets.
• Design and evaluate experiments using structured quantitative methodologies.
• Work with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and product professionals.
• Investigate opportunities to apply AI to financial products and operational processes.
• Validate model performance using appropriate statistical and analytical techniques.
• Document research methodologies, assumptions, results, and limitations.
• Contribute to the development of predictive and decision-support systems.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and their potential financial applications.
• Present technical findings to both specialist and non-specialist stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Python or another scientific programming language.
• Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning, data analysis, and experimental design.
• Experience working with structured or large-scale datasets.
• Strong mathematical and analytical reasoning.
• Ability to communicate technical research clearly.
• Experience with financial datasets or fintech applications is advantageous.
