Description
An opportunity is available for a commercially minded Specialist to manage procurement activities and support effective relationships with suppliers and service providers. The role is suitable for a professional who can combine purchasing knowledge, financial awareness, negotiation skills, supplier evaluation, and administrative precision.
The successful candidate will support the procurement lifecycle, from identifying business requirements and evaluating suppliers through quotation analysis, contract coordination, purchasing, delivery monitoring, and supplier-performance assessment.
The Specialist will work closely with finance, operations, IT, facilities, legal, and departmental managers to ensure that organizational purchasing requirements are met efficiently and transparently. The role will also contribute to cost optimization, supplier diversification, procurement controls, and digital purchasing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate procurement activities across assigned business categories.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and service providers.
- Request and compare quotations, proposals, and commercial offers.
- Support supplier negotiations and purchasing decisions.
- Maintain supplier databases, contracts, and procurement records.
- Monitor purchase orders, deliveries, and service completion.
- Evaluate supplier performance, quality, pricing, and reliability.
- Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with finance teams on purchasing budgets and expenditure tracking.
- Support contract renewals and supplier-performance reviews.
- Ensure procurement activities follow internal procedures and applicable requirements.
- Introduce digital tools to improve purchasing workflows and documentation.
- Prepare procurement reports and spend-analysis summaries for management.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, vendor management, or corporate operations.
- Strong negotiation and commercial-analysis capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with procurement software or enterprise systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage supplier relationships professionally.
