Description
JOB OPPORTUNITY
As a Solution Architect, your mission is to take end-to-end ownership of architecture and integrations for our Corporate Internet Bank (Pan‑Baltic corporate channel). This is a player/coach role: you will both drive architecture and execution, mentor engineers, and later may take line‑management responsibilities as the organization evolves.
The mission is to ensure the Corporate Internet Bank becomes a modern, scalable, secure and compliant platform, and to standardize integrations across the bank (e.g., identity, core banking, payments, event streaming, data platform, CRM/onboarding, liquidity/group accounts).
How You Will Make an Impact:
- By owning the end‑to‑end solution architecture for the Corporate Internet Bank
- By driving and governing bank‑wide integrations for Corporate Internet Bank and channel components:
- Identity & authentication platform integration
- Core banking integration
- Event streaming and domain events (Kafka / Data Mesh patterns)
- CRM / onboarding / KYC integration
- Liquidity / group accounts integration (via connector approach)
- Data platform integration for reporting / statements / analytics
- By defining target integration patterns: API standards, event contracts, versioning, error handling, resilience, security controls, auditability, and observability
- By leading architectural decision decision making: ADRs, reference architectures, non‑functional requirements, migration sequencing, and dependency management
- By being hands‑on where it matters: unblock teams, review designs, support delivery, troubleshoot complex cross‑system issues
- By coaching engineers and tech leads: raise the bar for solution design, documentation quality, testing strategy, and operational readiness
- By building an engineering “architecture culture”: design reviews, mentoring, lightweight governance that enables speed without losing control
- By introducing pragmatic agentic development practices where they add measurable value (e.g., accelerating analysis, integration testing, documentation) while respecting banking controls and data protection
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- Strong experience designing and owning architectures in large integration landscapes (APIs + messaging/event‑driven)
- Solid banking/financial domain experience (regulated environment, audit constraints, data protection, operational risk thinking) will be preferred
- Proven ability to lead cross‑team alignment and make decisions in complex stakeholder environments
- Practical experience with Kafka/event streaming and contract-driven integration
- Cloud architecture experience (AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, modern CI/CD)
- Strong understanding of non‑functional requirements: security, resilience, performance, availability, observability, incident management
- Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
Some Nice-To-Haves would be:
- Corporate banking digital channels experience (payments, cash management, statements, entitlements, signatures)
- Experience with micro‑frontend frameworks and “backend-for-frontend” patterns
- Experience applying AI/agentic tooling safely in SDLC.
Why You Will Love Working Here:
- Flexibility. Flexible working hours, Hybrid work, and the possibility to work from anywhere in the EU, Iceland, Switzerland, and the UK (in total 90 days per year)
- International teams. Teams that go outside Pan-Baltic borders, where people value challenging work together with good humor and having fun
- Culture. You’ll be joining a team where things move fast, ideas flow freely, and change is part of the everyday. It’s a dynamic environment that keeps you learning, growing, and never bored
- More vacation. Additional weeks of vacation are available to all employees who have been in the company for 1 year or more
- Volunteer time off. We care about giving back to society, therefore, you will get additional days off for volunteering purposes
- Paid leave. We are proud of our employees who are participating in military training.
- Health benefits. A competitive benefits package in addition to your salary that includes health insurance after the first 3 months pass in all three Baltic states, as well as Health days in case of your absence due to sickness without a doctor’s note needed
- Wellbeing. Access to tools and resources that help you feel good and be productive at work and in life
- Professional growth. Internal and external training programs, LinkedIn learning, workshops, conferences, online training, etc
- Gross salary. 6000 – 8000 EUR/month, which is to be determined depending on your level of experience and competencies
